sharon gunn Dotson

Completed Bachlor's Degree in Education in 1982. Taught at Patrick Henry High School and then Four County JVS before moving to Cincinnati,Ohio in 1988. Married in 1988, divorced by 1991. Divorced for 12 years before marrying my husband Mark Dotson. Taught in Cincinnati at West Clermont Schools then Great Oaks Institute of Technology, where I worked for over 10 years. Completed my Master's Degree from Xavier University in 2001. Quit my job and went to St. John, VI for about a month, then decided to come home and try my luck at a functional realtionship. Took a year off to start my own business (I hated being self employed) which is probably how I got pregnant. Gave Birth to our beautiful daughter in 2003 at the age of 43. She is our only child, my husband was 50 when she was born. My biggest regret is that my mom was not here when Emme was born, she died in 1995. I taught for one year at Trotwood Madison Middle School outside of Dayton, Ohio. We moved to Sebastian, Florida in 2004 to take care of Mark's Mother, she had Parkinson's among other illnesses. Got nailed by three Hurricanes, 2 major right after moving to Florida. Not fun. Two weeks without electricity , no air, no water, no toilets. We may not have snow days but by golly we got Hurricane Days! I have been teaching in Florida, 7th and 8th grade reading, since 2004. I am finishing up my 39rd year of teaching! I miss family and friends and sometimes snow, but love the warm weather and beaches. Sebastian is considered a small fishing town on the East Coast and is really pretty quiet during the summer months. Come and Visit!

There are way too many stories to write about ,but never will forget Lenny Lepper and his Frog ( Kathy where is it?) and Kathy with her coloring book. Great memories of Band Camp and "socializing" with other band members. Also remember Not skipping school with friends and they got caught. Spent one day in Shinn's office for swearing in Math over a bad grade. Begged with him not to tell my dad. Those were the days. I remember the lounge and trying to decide who to sit with and trying really hard not to tick anyone off, but most of all I remember that there wasn't a person I didn't like. I didn't care for high school much, but I got to know a lot of great people and only wish I would have kept in touch more, especially with Teresa. Just a side note How can we forget being MIA at the CI, Linda....??? And looking for the snake????
